Reviews

Here are the first two reviews of the collection on Amazon – short but encouraging – especially as both are 5*

I had read and enjoyed Margaret Skea’s 2 historic novels and expected a similar style from this book of short stories. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Each one is a beautifully crafted piece; each one quite different in location, style and subject. I enjoyed each one, was moved to sadness and laughter. It is a great Kindle deal !

(Author’s note – it is available in Paperback also either via Amazon, by ordering through a bookshop, or signed copies  available directly from me  to anywhere in the UK – please contact me here or via my FB author page. with payment via PayPal or personal cheque.)

Beautifully written, compellingly melancholic, each one of these stories, whether set in Africa, Afghanistan, Edinburgh or Belfast, delves deep into human emotion and gives a tantalising glimpse into a broader world, an ample demonstration that the author is not bound by historical fiction but has a clear contemporary view, too.

It will be interesting to see other opinions as (hopefully) they appear.
